Serving beers one last time at the original taproom was always part of the plan, but Magliaro and Hop Butcher’s co-owner Jeremiah Zimmer waited to announce the event until they were sure the pandemic wouldn’t delay their timeline. Half Acre announced in May it will consolidate its operations at the Bowmanville location and sell the Lincoln Avenue location to Hop Butcher. In 2017, with the popularity of its beers booming, Half Acre expanded into the Bowmanville production facility at 2050 W. Gabriel Magliaro, Half Acre’s founder, originally started selling beer from the Lincoln Avenue address in 2008.

Guests must show their vaccination card to enter and be masked.

Lincoln Ave. taproom will be first come, first served 4-11 p.m., Thursdays through Saturdays starting this week and going until the end of the month. Half Acre announced the celebration on social media Tuesday. LINCOLN SQUARE - Half Acre will say farewell to its Lincoln Avenue taproom through September before Hop Butcher for the World moves in this fall.
